A Couple

She walked along the street with her head held up high

Nobody stopped her or noticed her awful black eye

He carried on as normal with a smug little grin

Power rushing through his head following that big sin

She would not leave him no matter what he did

But the thing was that who was she trying to kid?

He wanted and he received as soon as he entered the room

Self centred and uncaring he is and as cold as a tomb

She had done nothing wrong but that he did not see

Time was running short for her not long before tea

He would scream and shout but not notice her shake

For fear he knows of not, not even for her sake

She knew what was coming before she saw his fist

This was a regular occurunce and more than could be put on a list

He hit out with a great big thud watching her body fall

Nothing would effect this emotionless man, nothing at all

She still loved him after this without wondering why

No matter how often he loved to make her cry

He had enough of this nonsense and retreated upstairs

To him she was an object so why should he care?

She stayed awake in fear wondering what she had done

What warrented such hate done out of so much fun?

He saw everything she did as wrong and not worth his ring

Do whatever he liked as he though himself as the greatest king

She didnt know what to do through fear so she laid and wept

Her tears soaking through the sofa, there was no way she could have slept

He being reincarnated from evil he did not notice her pain

Just a blotch on the carpet he was compared to, just a stain

She did not notice anything pass though the air that night

Didnt notice the redemption planned in her name, wouldve given her a fright

He did not notice either as something crept about very close at hand

Something ready to crush him into oblivion to the size of sand

She sat up immediately as something made her realise whispering her name

Take up a knife it said, go upstairs, it wont be a shame

He deserved everything he got that night as his wife picked up the knife

Crept upstairs in her night gown towards the evil that didnt deserve life

She grinned as she brought it down between his ribs

Hitting his heart and killing him painfully for his fibs

He was killed that night by a woman possesed into it

The wife had been torn apart and now the candle was lit

She was whole once more as she pleaded self defence

Sadness and happiness had collided after the offence

He hadnt won in the end as his soul was condemned to Hell

His grip had been released, outside she didnt have to sell

She was free forever and she felt good to be alive

Her case was won, it was her who survived
