The shivering started.

Slow at first but gaining speed

Unstoppable it was

It continued, consuming everything

Soul

It wasnt going to stop

Not until it had devoured you

It would take you whole

No mercy

Stumbling forward you continue

Fevered mind

Something ill within

There wasnt anyone to help

There wasnt anyone who cared

You could stumble by with blood dripping

But not one eye would bat

Indeed blood was dripping

Indeed no-one saw

You werent whole any more

Something taunted your brain

Darkness enfolded in the soft flesh

Rather like a tumour

A cancerous, evil lump

that prayed on your mind

Twisting you

Turning you into a knarled bitter being

Just a shell housing a shadow

There was no escaping it

No way to get out of there

It was taking you without consent

A battle raging inside

But you cant win

You cant fight

All thats left is to give in
